2. Launch the Spotlight Tuning Pack installer

Launch the installer. This will search for the suited versions of SSMS. Click Install.

If possible, we recommend that Spotlight Tuning Pack be run on Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019 as older operating systems (Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012) fall back to using TLS 1.0 which can introduce an encryption weakness.  Running Spotlight Tuning Pack on Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019 utilizes TLS 1.2, eliminating the older and weaker TLS protocols.

3. Launch SSMS and sign in with your Quest account to use Spotlight features

Launch SSMS. When you access a Spotlight Tuning Pack feature, you will be asked to sign in with your Quest account. This is required as part of our enhanced security measures.
