If possible, we recommend that Spotlight Extensions be run on Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019 as older operating systems (Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012) fall back to using TLS 1.0 which can introduce an encryption weakness. Running Spotlight Extensions on Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019 utilizes TLS 1.2, eliminating the older and weaker TLS protocols.
